Transparent Object Detection Sensor

Photoelectric Sensors

1.png

Transparent objects such as clear plastic containers, glass bottles, and film-wrapped products are difficult to detect reliably in automated production lines due to low reflectivity and weak optical contrast. This often results in unstable sensing, missed detections, or inconsistent triggering in high-speed processes.

A retro-reflective photoelectric sensor enables stable presence and absence detection of transparent objects by using a reflector-based light path. It detects interruptions in the beam rather than relying on object reflectivity, ensuring reliable sensing even for clear, low-visibility materials. This improves detection stability, reduces errors, and supports consistent automation in packaging, logistics, and manufacturing environments.
